Closed boxes hold randomly assigned choices. Open one to reveal the result.
Orbit chooses a box selects both its contents and the box index with Web Crypto before the reveal begins. User chooses a box first prepares random assignments, then waits for you to click a closed box. Choosing a position does not trigger a different assignment or change what was already placed there.
Each box receives an independent draw from your choices. A choice may therefore appear in more than one box; this is intentional replacement, not a promise that every possible label appears exactly once. All labels have equal probability regardless of box position, color or image.
Add at least two choices, set three to eight boxes and select your mode. In user-choice mode, press Prepare boxes before picking a box. The remaining boxes dim while the selected lid lifts and its text or image appears. Prepare again for a fresh independent assignment.
The tool is a choice display, not a paid opening or reward system. There are no prices, rarities, wagers, jackpots or payouts. Use it to pick an activity, a surprise writing prompt, a small team challenge or an agreed meal option. Avoid putting sensitive information in a configuration you intend to share.
The chosen label remains available as text and can be copied after the animation. Recent outcomes are stored locally, and earlier draws do not make an option due next time. Keyboard users can Tab to an individual box and activate its button, or run the preparation action outside text inputs.
Reduced motion removes the lid movement and highlight transition while keeping the selection clear. Fullscreen puts the boxes and result first. The hidden positions are a visual metaphor, not protection against someone inspecting browser memory.
A roll or draw stays on this device. Orbit keeps your settings and a bounded history in browser storage, without an account or automatic entry upload. Download a full .orbit backup from the Wheel workspace to include your tools, or use the visual-tools backup on this page. Clearing browser storage can remove your data.
Create share link explicitly publishes an independent configuration snapshot, including the images that the active tool uses. It does not include history, remaining deck state or an animation in progress. Anyone with the link can run a session-local draw or make an editable copy. Review labels and images before sharing.
Can I add pictures? Yes, each choice can have a compact image prepared with the existing upload pipeline. Are assignments saved in a share? No; only the configuration is published. Each viewing session creates its own fresh assignment before a user chooses.
